Comments

Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways has arrived, a remake of the Ada Wong focused mode from the original game. This DLC follows Ada on her mission to find the mysterious Amber and escape from the horrors of Las Plagas. Like other Resident Evil games, Separate Ways features plenty of survival horror mainstays, including door puzzles. Here's how to solve the door puzzle involving lithographic stones present in Chapter 4 of Separate Ways.

Where to find the missing Lithographic Stones

About halfway through Chapter 4, Ada and Luis part ways, with Ada sent to find the three ingredients needed to make medicine to suppress the infection. You will exit the Fortified Tower via grappling hook and immediately be presented with a forward hallway and a small staircase to the right, with two enemies. In the room at the bottom of the stairs you will find a Lithographic Stone Door, which requires you to swap the four stones to match the damaged images on the door. Two stones are missing but the first is on the bench directly across from the door.

The first stone is right across from the puzzle door.

The second stone can be found by heading back up to the blocked hallway and moving the bookcase out of the way. Head to the end of the hall to find the Merchant. The stone can be found across from the Merchant in the corner of the room.

How to solve the Chapter 4 door puzzle

Return to the door and place the two missing blocks in. The solution is shown above, but for each stone block, only one side of each block actually matches the images on the door. The easiest way to tell if you have the correct side of the block is to look and see if the color and the border of the image matches with one on the door. If the color and border don't match one of the four spots, you will need to use the other side of the block. There are no duplicates of the four correct images. Once the four blocks are placed correctly, the door will open.
