Redesigned Xbox controller in the works
Microsoft is working on a smaller controller for the Xbox.
Microsoft has officially announced that it will be releasing a redesigned controller for the Xbox called Controller S. The new controller is similar to the recently released Japanese controller in that it's much smaller than the original Xbox pad, the button placement is different from the original, and the D-pad has been changed to make it a little easier to use. However, the new gamepad will have a longer cable than the Japanese controller, the green logo in the middle has been replaced with a black one, and the triggers on the back of the pad have also been slightly adjusted.
Microsoft plans to put the new controller on sale April 30 for $39.99. There are currently no plans to start bundling Controller S in with systems
