Red Dead Redemption For PlayStation Is Steeply Discounted At Amazon

The iconic Rockstar game launched on PS4 earlier this year, and now it's seeing a big discount ahead of the holidays.

Red Dead Redemption is one of the best western games of all time. It follows John Marston as he attempts to track down his missing wife and son, a nuanced story that's held to Rockstar's usual high standards. The title first launched in 2010, but earlier this year it arrived on both PS4 (playable on PS5) and Switch. And if you haven't checked out the iconic action game (or want to take a trip down memory lane), you'll now find the physical PS4 version discounted to $32 (down from $50).

While the PS4 version doesn't come with significant upgrades, it does feature the full single-player experience from both Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare--along with bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition. It's worth noting that if you own an Xbox Series, you're better off buying the game for that platform due to slightly better visuals. You can grab the Xbox version for $31 at Amazon. If you want to play on the go, you'll have to spend the full $50 for the Switch edition, as it's not currently on sale.

The PS4 version deal is close to the lowest price ever for Red Dead Redemption since the launch of the physical edition in October. It briefly dipped to $30 around Black Friday, so you're only spending two bucks more. If you missed out on the big shopping holiday, this is a great chance to check it off your shopping list.

Looking for more western action? Consider picking up its sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2, while the PS4 edition is on sale for $20. It offers another gorgeous world to explore, an incredible storyline to unravel, and plenty of tense side quests to keep you busy for over 100 hours.

Speaking of Rockstar, the studio debuted the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI last week. The highly anticipated game doesn't release until 2025. If the trailer has you hyped and you haven't played the current-gen version of GTA V, you can pick it up for $20 at Amazon.
