Razer, a manufacturer known for its high-end gaming mice, had a few products to show off during the show. Razer announced an updated version of its highly successful Diamondback gaming mouse and provided information on the upcoming Tarantula gaming keyboard. Razer also mentioned that its Diamondback gaming mouse has been an amazing success for the company, selling more than 300,000 units in about seven months. To further expand its product line within this calendar year, the company announced intentions to start producing products that go far beyond their mousing roots.

As a follow-up to the highly successful Diamondback, Razer will release the Diamondback Plasma. Razer says that the Diamondback Plasma will have slight improvements over the original Diamondback gaming mouse. The new Plasma sports an infrared optical sensor instead of the traditional red-lit sensor, for incrementally better performance. A byproduct of using infrared technology is lower power consumption. Razer's new mouse runs at 1600dpi and can track 5.8 megapixels per second. To subtly light up the mouse, Razer used a blue LED. Razer will release the mouse in late June for a suggested retail price of $59.99.
