A new update is on the way for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

PUBG Corp. continues rolling out a regular stream of new updates for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Patch #18 for the PC version is now available on the game's test servers, and it introduces a new Sanhok-exclusive vehicle and weapon, along with a handful of other features and tweaks, to the popular battle royale game. [Update: PUBG Corp. has confirmed that Patch #18 will be rolled over to the live game tonight, July 18, following a four-hour period of server maintenance that begins at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET.]

The aforementioned weapon is the QBU, a new DMR that only appears on the smaller, tropical themed Sanhok map. It takes the place of the Mini 14 on Sanhok and uses a standard, 10-round magazine of 5.56mm ammo, which can be increased to 20 rounds with an extended magazine.

Also added to Sanhok is the Rony, a type of pickup truck exclusive to the new map. The Rony can carry up to four passengers and, according to PUBG Corp., "excels at moving across Sanhok's hilly landscapes." The developer also notes that it's one of the largest vehicles available on Sanhok, making it equally suitable for cover and transportation. You can take a look at it and the QBU below.

In addition to the new vehicle and weapon, PUBG Corp. has implemented the ability to create custom matches. The feature is still a work-in-progress, but it's available for all players in open beta on the test servers and allows them to adjust a variety of settings and make their own custom game mode. PUBG Corp. says it plans to expand the custom matches test to live servers "once the system is proven to be stable," although the developer hasn't provided a time frame. You can read more about the custom match beta on Steam.

Finally, Patch #18 resolves a handful of bugs, including one that allowed players to see through certain buildings in Sanhok and one that would prevent players from discarding extended magazines when their backpack was full. PUBG Corp. hasn't announced when these changes will be implemented in the live game, but the developer says they will be rolled over to live servers "once the testing period is complete." You can find the full patch notes for the update on Steam.
