PSO Network Details

Sonic Team recently elaborated on the network details of its Dreamcast online RPG, Phantasy Star Online. The game will feature over 50 quests available primarily to allow users to find new items and level up characters. The dungeon map is randomly generated, so although the location remains the same, the layout - such as doors' locations - will be different each time. Additional quests will be made available in the future as well.

The company has prepared 20 network servers to accommodate 20,000 users online. If necessary, it can add more servers to accommodate more users.

Sonic Team expects to sell 500,000 copies in Japan and 1 million copies worldwide. Phantasy Star Online is expected for a December 21 release in Japan.
