PlayStation has announced a partnership with basketball star LeBron James for new PlayStation 5 accessories designed by the NBA superstar himself. The partnership includes a new PS5 console cover and a DualSense controller designed by LeBron in partnership with PlayStation.

The limited-edition pieces contain accents and wording like "Nothing Is Given. Everything Is Earned." The design also includes imagery of a crown, which has been associated with LeBron and how he's known as "King James." The PS5 cover and controller also contain nods to LeBron's "I Promise" charity, including the words "Chosen Ones" and "Build. Uplift. Empower."

"It's still crazy to think a kid from Akron who grew up playing games is getting to create something like this," LeBron said in a PlayStation Blog post. "Designing a console cover and controller with PlayStation that gives a nod to my I Promise students and where we come from is a pretty cool thing. I hope it's something that continues to inspire everyone who touches it, and that they have a little fun finding meaning in every detail."

The PS5 cover and DualSense controller will be available to preorder later this year via PlayStation Direct. Pricing was not announced.

LeBron is partnering with PlayStation as part of the PlayStation Playmakers program, which sees PlayStation team up with famous people for a variety of initiatives.

LeBron recently passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA's all-time scoring leader. He suffered a foot injury on February 26 and is now rehabbing for a period of multiple weeks.
