Preorder Dying Light From Steam, Get Exclusive Multiplayer Mode "Be the Zombie"

Nice, special exclusive preorder nonsense, thanks for helping me make a decision as to when to buy this game.

I'll be making sure now to get the complete pack in a year in a sale with exactly the same but a little bit less exclusive / special content then.

No problem, I can wait, I'd rather buy the "complete" game when it's available.

Well I was going to buy this game on console but seeing as they are axing a game mode in favor fo being complete assholez... they will receive no such sale.

It'll be another boring game like Dead Island once the novelty of the improved graphics and 1st person mechanics wear off anyway. Keep your pre-order and whatever else DLCs Techland. Come to think of it, Techland is a boring and generic name too so it must run in the company.

Such a shame , i'd have so much fun with this mode if it's on X360 ( Yes , X360 is still my primary console ) . I'd so beat the crap out of the guy who think putting this mode as a punish for those who don't pre-order the game or buy it on consoles .

Wow. Are publishers and developers trying to outdo each other when it comes to how low they can sink? So, basically, its either pre-order the game or don't buy it at all. I'm sure it's timed dlc and will come out for everyone eventually but still, the implications for future games is frightening. One good thing about devs and publishers pulling crap like this - saves me a lot of money as this is just another game I will steer clear of.

Techland has already shot themselves in the foot by not living up to the original CGI of the first game. This mode preorder is their suicide note I guess. I actually am excited to play this game, but they gotta be kidding with this. The game seems predictable. We all know a month down the line it'll be for sale 14.99 in a dlc.

Pre-order and receive a multiplayer mode that should be included with vanilla game. -_-

I play these games for the single player not for the multiplayer mode so no thanks.

Also preorder bonus exclusives is a trend that needs to die in a fire.

I don't understand why people are so against pre-ordering. I can get it if it means that you want a review of a game before you purchase it if the previous one was sh!t. (We all know about Aliens: Colonial Marines)

I tend to never pre-order games myself but can anyone with a bright mind want to explain why pre-ordering is so bad? Lol

I have never seen this as a you get a free gift for pre ordering
But more of a, you get punished if you dont pre order for not having blind faith in this company by having content that should be in the game for everyone be taken away

complete bullsh*t. maps, fine. multiplayer modes, i can stomach it. but to make an entire facet of gameplay a bonus, and soon to be on demand DLC, is NOT ethical by any stretch of the imagination. it's just petty

I don't think this is a "competitive" mode, more like "have fun trolling the gamers playing the campaign" kind of mode. It kinda reminds me of that one mode in Resident Evil 6, can't remember the name. But, yes, this shouldn't be exclusive to preorders. They could've use alternate outfits and/or something else purely cosmetic as incentive for people to preorder the game. This mode should already be part of the game, it's really unfair to people. Then again, this mode will most likely be available to everyone a month or two after release- Probably not free.
