Pre-Christmas Console Sales Charts
Did Dreamcast sales surge over the holidays? Click through and find out.
PC Data has released the console sales charts for the week ending December 23, and it was a good week for Sony. Even though the PlayStation 2 was in limited supply, it still managed to edge out all but the PSOne. It appears that the Dreamcast failed to capitalize on Sony's production woes and a lack of any other next-generation competition, falling into last place, behind even the Nintendo 64 for the week.
- PSOne - 292,000 units (34.7% share)
- PS2 - 188,000 units (22.4% share)
- N64 - 181,000 units (21.5% share)
- Dreamcast - 180,000 units (21.4% share)
