Power Smash in the Fall

GameSpot has learned that Sega will release Virtua Tennis in Japan under the name Power Smash Tennis. Additionally, the game's release date in that country is now set for sometime in the fall. Virtua Tennis has been a major success for Sega of America in its first few days of release in the US. The 50,000 copies shipped on launch day sold out almost immediately, and second shipments will soon begin trickling into retailers.

However, considering the Dreamcast's struggles in Japan, it will be interesting to see whether Power Smash Tennis will enjoy similar success in that country.
