Pokemon X and Y announced for 3DS in October 2013

Excellent to see pokemon continue to move in the right direction.

I've been waiting for a Pokemon game like this... :') 6th gen here we come!!

Really looking forward to this game, but it looks pixalated as crap.

I enjoyed every single mainstream pokemon game. However, with the 3rd generation, and then the 4th and 5th I knew some of the monsters didn't have that Pokemon feeling to them anymore. But regardless I still very much enjoyed them all. Though I do have a mix feelings about this one, that frog looks AWESOME!!!!

And with that the PS Vita lost any chances it ever had to beat Nintendo's 3DS .

@rushiosan : I am pretty sure Nintendo will make PKM available on E shop. Download it to your SD card. Problem solved.

I remember thinking this would be great on 64 and then Gamecube... Been quite a few years since I last played a Pokemon game(Silver/Gold).

Call me old-fashioned, but I like my Pokemon in 2D.

I want a Pokemon Yellow remake with updated 2D graphics.

Or just give me Pokemon Yellow on the Virtual Console.

i havn't played a pokemon game in a long time, atleast the 3DS brought change finaly. I wants it!, but i get a strong feeling its gonna fail like many other games have, likely a 6/10.

Edit: And really they should have made Pokemon for the fking Wii-U.

I think something like this is just what Nintendo needs to revitalize the Pokemon series.

I'm pretty sure that Fennekin is based on the fennec fox, not a deer. . .

The year has just barely started and Nintendo dropped a huge bomb, an atomic bomb, on their competition. This game is a system seller no matter how some people hate Pokemon. A worldwide release is even more impressive. I guess the only question we have to ask is if there will be any special edition 3DS systems to be available in North America upon its release.

My guess is that they're going to make another game called Pokemon Z with a mix/match of X and Y, kinda like how there was Pokemon Emerald after Ruby and Sapphire.
