Pokemon Go Plus is a companion device which can connect to a phone via Bluetooth Smart and provide alerts to the wearer about nearby PokeStops and wild Pokemon. Users can catch Pokemon by pressing a button without having to pull out their mobile phone. Notably, the device does not provide alerts for any Pokemon attracted by the in-game incense item. It does not track distance walked if Pokemon Go is running in the background.

Pokemon Go Plus is compatible with the following operating systems:

  • iOS 8 - 9
  • Compatible with: iPhone® 5/5c/5s/SE/6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus
  • Android 4.4 - 6.0
  • Compatible with: Android 4.4 or higher that have Bluetooth® Smart (Bluetooth v4.0 or higher) capability and RAM2GB or more.

During Apple's livestreamed event earlier today it was announced that Pokemon Go would be released on Apple Watch. For more information on what this entails, check out the full article.
