All The State Of Play Announcements From PlayStation's Stream

PlayStation delivered a fairly strong State of Play in July, revealing new trailers for upcoming AAA, indie, and VR console exclusives.

Sony's most recent PlayStation State of Play presentation has concluded. As expected, the highlight of the show was Deathloop which got another trailer breaking down its gameplay and the relationship between protagonist Cole and antagonist Julianna. The half hour presentation also covered upcoming PSVR and indie games scheduled to launch for PS4 and/or PS5 in the next year.

How To Watch

PlayStation announced the State of Play on July 6, in a tweet promising a "Deathloop gameplay deep dive, plus lots of updates on indies and exciting third-party games." The presentation streamed on PlayStation's YouTube and Twitch accounts, as well as other streaming sources.

Predator: Hunting Grounds and Friday the 13th developer Illfonic revealed a new trailer for Arcadegeddon, an upcoming third-person co-op loot shooter that takes place in a colorful cyberpunk future.

Hunter's Arena

The 30-player, melee-focused fantasy battle royale game Hunter's Arena got a new gameplay trailer that further broke down how the game works and revealed that the game will launch for PS4 and PS5 next month. The game will also be available via PS Plus from August 3 to September 6.

FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch

TiGames' self-described "dieselpunk" metroidvania FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch got a new trailer, revealing gameplay of its bunny protagonist in action and a September release date.

Sifu

Developer Sloclap revealed brand-new gameplay of Sifu, which highlighted how the passage of time affects the protagonist and the environment. The new trailer ended with the reveal that Sifu has been delayed--instead of late 2021, the game will now launch in early 2022.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicle

A new trailer for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicle revealed that the upcoming manga and anime-inspired game takes inspriation from its source materials Unwavering Resolve and Mugen Train arcs.

Death Stranding: Director's Cut

A new trailer for Death Stranding: Director's Cut revealed a release date for the upcoming PS5 game, and detailed what new features that players can expect, such as a cargo catapult, support skeleton, buddy bot, and jump ramp.

Deathloop

Sony concluded the State of Play with a nine-minute breakdown of Deathloop's gameplay and story.
