PSA: It's The Last Day To Claim PS5's PlayStation Plus Collection Games

It's your last chance to grab more than a dozen PS5 games.

As announced earlier this year, the PS Plus Collection will soon be discontinued, bringing an end to the free library of games that were offered as an extra to PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS5. The PS Plus Collection features a number of big first-party games and a few third-party extras that can be added to your library for free, but it's your last chance to claim them, as these freebies will be removed on May 9. These games must be claimed on a PS5; you can't do so on other platforms.

"We also wanted to provide an update on the PlayStation Plus Collection that has been offered as a benefit to PlayStation Plus members on PS5 since 2020," Sony explained in a blog post back in February. "On May 9 the PlayStation Plus Collection will no longer be offered. If you haven’t redeemed the titles in this collection yet, you can still do so until May 9, which will enable you to access those titles even after this date for as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member."

This does not impact the monthly games offered to all PlayStation Plus subscribers, nor does it impact the Games Catalog available through the more expensive Premium and Extra tiers of PlayStation Plus. Sony says that it will focus efforts on adding new games to those services in lieu of the continued PS Plus Collection.

Here is the list of games in the PS Plus Collection you can still claim:

  • Batman: Arkham Knight
  • Battlefield 1
  • Bloodborne
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  • Days Gone
  • Detroit: Become Human
  • Fallout 4
  • Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition
  • God of War
  • Infamous Second Son
  • Monster Hunter World
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • Ratchet & Clank
  • The Last Guardian
  • The Last of Us Remastered
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
  • Until Dawn

Some users have reported seeing Persona 5 back on the service, where it was originally available, though your miles may vary.

Any games that you do redeem between now and May 9 will be yours to keep so long as you have an active PS Plus subscription. The upgraded tiers currently offer a substantial collection of first and third-party games, at an increased price in comparison to the basic PS Plus offerings.
