However, if you just want to try PlayStation Now for yourself, a 7-day free trial is available.

The full list of new PlayStation-exclusive games being added to the service is as follows:

I WILL NEVER USE this PSNOW service until they ACTUALLY allow us to BUY/OWN the game instead of the only RENT option. Had the PS4 since launch.

Is there any reason why Metal Gear Solid 4 isn't on this service yet?

Ps Now is t meant to replace consoles. It's not meant for someone who owns or would rather buy a PS3. It's for the grandma that bought a bluray player or tv enabled with ps Now for the grandkids to play when they're over. It's for the businessman who got too busy to enjoy his favorite past time. It's a foundation building towards a potential future of game delivery. The per-rental prices are insane and there's little reason for day-to-day gamers to commit to it, but there are great things about it. When I tested the beta, it was mostly as good as remote play between ps4 and psvita. That's progress and something I hope continues to improve. I don't want all games streamed only in the future but having it as an option would be cool. Just at more reasonable prices...

Have anyone used this service? I still have a ps3 so I'm not really interested other than curious on how well it works. My internet is 100 down 50 up so that shouldn't be an issue.

@kadaverhagga: yeah I started the trial a few days ago. So far it's been great on my ps4, and a little jumpy on my vita. For my free week, I'm using this to play games I've never played before, kinda like a demo, to see if I like it. My latest play was heavenly sword. Only play about 15 minutes but looks promising. My connection is 60 down 4 up, although my ps4 reads the connection as 24 down and 1.5-2 up. I was actually amazed by how many AAA titles are on there that I never got around to playing that look, graphics wise, really good.

@joshrmeyer: Yeah forgot about that, I think my ps4 sees my connection as 80 down and 20 up or something like that. I don't know why but only my ps consoles loose a hefty chunk of my speed. The 360 and the x1 i had also lost a little compared to pc but not this much.

@kadaverhagga:

I've gotten free GOW 1 & 2. It got laggy 1 time for a few seconds out of my hours upon hours of playthrough on those games.

It played like I had the disc in.

Much improved from the free beta I tried.

In before someone who doesn't own a ps4 tells you how terrible it is!

@egb72: Everyone loves milk. Mmmm, especially at that sweet price of $8 a month for unlimited access, any time, anywhere with wifi (although wired cuts load time down)... I wonder if you own cable? Talk about a milk cow! From someone that's used the service, I can say its not bad for what it is and the price.

Gave it a try just the other day. Wanted to see if my buddy wanted to pick up Borderlands Collection and play BL2 and do some co-op. It was laggy and controls were off making it hard to play. Glad it was a free trial or I would not have been happy. Easier to pick them up used and save your money.

Or you could buy a ps3, buy the games for almost nothing, and own them!

@sepsis216: True, but the convince of not acquiring more stuff, combined with the other games for PS4, makes PS+ the best option...

For myself, anyways...

I've been diggin' on PS+ lately...

It's pretty nice to be able to play games I missed out on last Gen, for $8 a month...

I've caught up on Mass Effect 2, which was amazing, and I'm working my way thru Arkham Asylum... Probably check out Bioshock next...

None of these games seem particularly Titillating, but Savage Moon and Trash Panic sound cool...

PSNow is a rental service which may happen to have titles you already own. It's not backwards compatibility, nor should it be compared to X1's backwards compatibility.

A better comparison is to Netflix. You are paying for access to a library with no attachment to the item you have selected. I personally don't believe it's worth it for my own gaming needs. The price is too high and I already have an enormous backlog of games to get through. But for someone just getting into the Playstation brand it might be a good decision.

@RicanV: I'm actually considering getting it. Mostly to play on the vita. I have a lot of down time at work and not too many games for the vita. Hopefully streaming to the vita doesn't take as much bandwidth as streaming to a ps3 or ps4.

@RicanV: I can understand their choice to put the service on other devices like their Bravia TVs but at the current prices it is hard to see why anyone would bother when they can buy a PS4 and have modern games. By the time you've finished with the PS Now memberships and rentals you may as well have paid for a full console.

@Dannystaples14: if you have the psnow membership, there's no rental fees. If you've used netflix, it works exactly like that. There's an option to rent games, but thats a serious waste of money.

PSNow is pretty much dead in the water. Hasn't performed well at all since its launch. Service is too laggy and pretty much unplayable. Sony is desperately trying to save it by having these so called deals. Which isn't really a deal at all for broken streaming.

@lrdfancypants: You must have a 50 down internet speed, probably wired too. I don't think a lot of people realize how high the recommended minimal requirements are for PS Now. Most people likely do 25 down or something like it and are wireless. Makes a difference.

@Barighm: Anyone using wireless on ps4 is well, I don't wanna say stupid, but not smart? I can see a very small amount of people that may need to do wireless for whatever reason. And 25 down shouldn't be a problem running this. It loads into memory anyways.

I wouldn't use PlayStation wireless for simple mp. Why would someone stream a game with it?

Or they didn't pay attention to psnow recommendations or never even tried it (the most likely scenario)
