PlayStation Home Officially Closed

Walked in there once, had a bunch of dudes yell "Heeeeey giiiiiiirl" at me and left. Never went back.

I realize it's not "cool" to like PlayStation Home, and I've only popped on there a handful of times in the last 4-5 years, but I can admit I had some good fun on there back in 2008-2010. It was probably 'cause I was logged on with real life friends and just goofing around. That said, I've never understand the people who were addicted to Home and spent tons of money there.

I had a buddy who was serious addicted to this sh!t. He eventually stopped playing real games just so he could focus on home. He actually spent good money on it too. He said it was fun b/c he met a bunch of great people there. Yet he pretty much cat-fished everyone he met b/c he had to pretend he was girl for people to even talk to him. Glad this trash is gone.

I'm not surprised. It was barely used when it was around. But wow, it's been 7 years already! Time flies man....

And the world threw up their hands and let out a tremendous "Who gives a sh!t"

Seems to me that all the haters just couldn't find anyone that would talk to them. With the negative attitude you all display I'm guess you were all Trolls.

If you took the time to increase your cashe size you wouldn't of had all of the downloading. FYI you could start parties and launch your game thru HOME. Then again that would mean you actually had to read the directions.

I haven't been to home since it first released .I walked outside and went to the fountain looked around and shut it off and never went back .looking at these pictures I can see they did a lot of. Updates to it .but I just didn't like it at all

This was such a waste of time. I remember years ago going into Home for the very first time - bought a couch, got a virtual haircut, and then wondered what I was doing with my life. Haven't virtually set foot in there since.

<< LINK REMOVED >> there was that whole second life fad going on at the time. people thought this kind of virtual environment would be a thing. hence all the huge stupid investments from real companies on ads on these things.

Dunno why they didn't just carry it over to the PS4. Might of become something on the PS4 what with PS4 being the best selling console of this gen.

I never really used home, but I did enjoy it when I did. Will miss it very much so. Especially bowling.

the only thing i will not miss is having my ps3 froze because some ahole cant stand that your actually having fun on there and thats the only thing they can do is try to ruin it for you.

PS HOME was the sh! t, I feels sorry for those that couldn't get into it, met the coolest people ever in there too, it will be missed a lot for sure!!

Home was a good idea with bad implementation,

long load times, unnecessary use of bandwidth,

few interactive itens, lack of support and lack of some kind of game reward(like a trophy or avatars).

I confess i had high expectations for it back in the release date,

i myself will miss home.i used it when i had nothing in the world to do.i took it for what it was and i think shutting it down was a mistake,they could atleast gave us another year.

Dear God the load times in there were atrocious. Had some fun dance parties though.

I wandered around it once. Didn't really know what it was for or what to do.
