Pinocchio-Meets-Bloodborne Game, Lies Of P, Gets New Trailer
Check out a new trailer for Lies of P, which is coming to Game Pass on day one.
Today during Gamescom Opening Night Live, developer Neowiz released a new trailer for Lies of P, the Souls-like action game set in a dark Belle Epoque world.
In Lies of P, you play as the fabled puppet mechanoid Pinocchio. The game begins with Pinocchio waking up at an abandoned train station in a city called Krat, which he discovers has been consumed by an inexplicable madness, turning once-friendly-faces into gruesome enemies. He also finds a note calling upon him to find his creator, Mr. Geppetto. You are then tasked with navigating Pinocchio through a "living hell filled with unspeakable horrors" as you search his creator and attempt to become human.
Those familiar with Souls-like games will find the Lies of P's combat familiar, though the game also features a fair amount of unique customization. Through leveling your character and combining various weapons to create new devices, players are given a fair amount of control over their playstyle.
The game also features "interconnected procedural quests" that change depending on how you lie. These choices ultimately affect how the story ends, with a line from the game's description reading, "You must always lie to others if you hope to become human."
Lies of P is scheduled to release on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in 2023. It was announced at Gamescom it will also be included on Xbox Game Pass.
