Paul Bettany, who plays Vision in the Marvel universe, has revealed that Vision's death scene in Avengers: Infinity War was improvised. Speaking to Collider, Bettany said the sequence where Vision dies next to Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch was not working as scripted, so directors Joe and Anthony Russo had him and Olsen improvise.

"The Russo Brothers came up to us [Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen] and said, 'Hey, listen, can you just improvise this scene?' And I go, 'What? Improvise being a robot getting killed?' I've got no frame of reference! And Lizzie was just laughing at it, and we're so relaxed with each other that… I don't know how it would've worked other than that, because we both really trust each other and, somehow, we got to something that worked."

Scarlet Witch kills Vision at the end of Infinity War to destroy the Mind Stone in his head before Thanos can get his hands on it. In a tragic twist, Thanos uses the Time Stone to undo this, bringing Vision back to life before Thanos himself removes the stone and kills Vision again.

After Infinity War, Bettany came back to play Vision again in the TV show WandaVision. He's also going to suit up as Vision for yet another project with his own TV show, Vision Quest.

Looking ahead, there is just one Marvel movie set for release in 2024, and that's Deadpool 3. Beyond that, Sony Pictures is releasing Madame Web on February 14 and Venom 3 later this year.
