The PlayStation 4's library of PlayStation 2 games expands next week with the release of PaRappa the Rapper 2. The 2002 rhythm game will be added to the lineup on Tuesday, December 15, Sony representatives confirmed during the latest PlayStation Blogcast.

The game will feature upscaled 1080p graphics and support for Trophies and other PS4 features. Some of these include Remote Play with PlayStation Vita, live broadcasting, and Share Play. Pricing was not announced, but the first wave of PS2 games on PS4--released last weekend--were priced at $10-$15.

In addition to PaRappa the Rapper 2, Sony has confirmed that The King of Fighters 2000 will be added later. Rockstar's Max Payne might also be on the way, though this is not confirmed.

Looking ahead, PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida said Sony will work "tirelessly" to release even more PS2 games for PS4 "on a regular basis."

Note that Sony's PS2 game library on PS4 does not exactly constitute traditional backwards compatibility. Even if you still own the PS2 discs, you'll have to buy them again to play on PS4.
