It only trails the free-to-play games PUBG, DOTA 2, and Counter-Strike 2 in terms of concurrent players. Palworld is available now for $27, but that price is temporary only and will go up to $30 after January 25. Palworld is the No. 1 top-selling game on Steam currently.

Palworld, which has been in development for more than three years, is available on Steam through Early Access as the developer continues to refine the experience.

Launch is just the beginning, as Pocketpair said it has more updates planned. "We are confident that if we continue to update Palworld properly, it will become the best game ever," the studio said.

In addition to its PC release through Steam, Palworld is out now on Xbox, as well as Xbox Game Pass for console and PC. There are no plans to bring the game to PS5 right now, but Pocketpair said it will consider releasing the game for Sony's system.

Before this, Pocketpair was best known for the game Craftopia.
