Blizzard could introduce a map editor to Overwatch, but it isn't likely to happen soon according to game director Jeff Kaplan.

Posting in a thread on the official Overwatch forums, Kaplan said the development team was "open-minded" about the feature but qualified that there are challenges it must overcome first.

Now Playing: Overwatch - Orisa Origin Story

"We are extremely open-minded about releasing a map editor for Overwatch someday," he said. "But because Overwatch was made with a brand new engine, this is not a small task or one which can happen any time soon."

Kaplan added that Blizzard has a "long-term road map" for Overwatch and it [believes] heavily in user-made content, but noted "there are many challenges ahead of us and it will be a very long road before our editor can be made available to the public."

The newest addition to Overwatch is a hero called Orisa, who will be available to play across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC today. However, Blizzard has said she "will not initially be available for Competitive Play," so that players have "some time to learn about and play Orisa before she's placed into the crucible of Competitive Play."

You can read more about Orisa's abilities and see her skins here.
