Operation Flashpoint: Resistance this Friday

Codemasters has announced that Operation Flashpoint: Resistance will launch this Friday, June 28. Resistance is an expansion pack for Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, Codemasters' Cold War-era tactical action game, and it requires the original game. The expansion includes a new 20-mission campaign, a large new island environment, and new weapons and vehicles. It also comes with new individual and multiplayer missions, enhanced graphics, improved multiplayer performance, and new gameplay elements such as scavenging and stealing enemy weapons.

Operation Flashpoint: Resistance will let players assume the role of an ex-Special Forces soldier who retires to a peaceful island, only to find himself in the midst of a Soviet invasion. Players will lead resistance forces in a series of battles against the invaders.

Operation Flashpoint: Resistance was developed by Bohemia Interactive, the studio that created the original game, and it will be available in stores at the end of the week for an approximate retail price of $29.99.
