Toronto-based DreamCatcher Interactive has announced Odyssey: The Search for Ulysses. The game is inspired by one of the most widely renowned adventures of all time, Homer's The Odyssey. Ten years have passed since the Trojan War ended, and Queen Penelope longs for the return of her husband, Ulysses. Rival lords are now plotting to take control of the kingdom, so the queen decides to send someone to find Ulysses. Your character, who was banished from the kingdom a decade ago for murder, takes up this quest in the hopes of redeeming himself. He must search the seven seas for Ulysses and bring him home or return with proof of his death.

The game takes players into a world of gods, mortals, and mythical creatures. Odyssey includes a wide variety of puzzles, dangerous monsters, and unusual challenges that confront the players along their journey across perilous lands. Enemies include the terrifying gorgon, whose glance will turn mortals to stone, and the cyclops, who has an appetite for human flesh. In the end, it is the god of the sea, Poseidon, who will test the players' worthiness.

Odyssey: The Search for Ulysses will be available on November 3. For more information about the game, visit the official DreamCatcher web site.
