November's Xbox One Games With Gold Are Available: Battlefield 1 And More

Shed some historical blood this month.

Attention all Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. If you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription, you can now download two of the free Games with Gold for November. You'll have to wait for November 16 to grab the other two, but the ones available now are big blockbuster titles.

Anyone with an Xbox One can download Battlefield 1 during the month of November. It brings players back to World War I, placing them in a variety of historical battles around the globe. The campaign is a series of surprisingly touching short stories, while the robust multiplayer modes support up to 64 players at a time. This game ought to keep fans satisfied at least until Battlefield V launches on November 20.

Now Playing: Battlefield 1 Free With Xbox Games With Gold November

Between now and November 15, Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners can also download the original Assassin's Creed. While many installments have appeared between its 2007 release and this year's Assassin's Creed Odyssey, this is where the whole epic saga began. You play as Desmond Miles, who uses a futuristic machine to inhabit the body of his ancestor (and kill lots of people).

Also available until November 15 is a holdover from October's Games with Gold: Victor Vran. It's a Diablo-like action-RPG that has you hunting spooky enemies who have invaded the city of Zagoravia.

And once November 15 rolls around, you'll be able to download for free the endless flying game Race the Sun for Xbox One and the 360's gory, God of War-style action game Dante's Inferno.

@everson_rm: Thank you so much for finding the free expansion pass. I got it before the the price went back up, that piece of information was newsworthy. Gamespot should be paying you for researching and delivering accurate information.

To everyone else reading these articles: Keep in mind, the Xbox Live Gold service includes online multiplayer games, member only sales and games each month. If you paid for the subscription service Xbox Live Gold, the games are not free, they are part of the service agreement.

@gatsbythepig: in 14 years my Xbox Live annual sub has only gone up $10. So since these games prices do not affect the yearly sub price, and I didn't get them for 12-13 years before, would you honestly prefer they used any other form of terminology or keep it simple and just call them free with subscription like everything else included in subscription media in 2018?

@BegottenAngel: I understand your point completely. My perspective is that Gamespot should be delivering accurate, unbiased information as a news agency. They could simply write,"your monthly games are available" or ,"here are the games with a paid subscription to Gold" or,"these are Microsoft's offerings this month" etc. There's no reason for them to be purposefully misleading and adding the term 'free'.

Have you ever seen a kid or grandparent supremely confused and upset because they just didn't have enough experience with new technology to understand what they actually bought or how it works? It sucks for them.
