Gamers are polishing their tank skills while waiting for NovaLogic's Armored Fist 3, the third edition of the company's realistic US Army M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank simulator.

The latest title lets more than 30 players share a virtual tank battlefield with the standard head-to-head combat or teamplay on NovaLogic's free NovaWorld gaming site. Additionally, AF3 also supports NovaLogic's Voice-Over-Net technology, giving players the option of verbally communicating with one another during gameplay.

Tanks drivers will also appreciate the game's new 32-bit Voxel Space engine, which lets you crush opposing tanks, buildings, and soldiers with your 60-ton, 1500-horsepower fight on tracks.

NovaLogic's Armored Fist 3 is due to hit shelves by the end of September or early October and will feature a Mission Editor to let users create their own scenarios.
