Novalogic has announced that it will bring its Comanche franchise to the Microsoft Xbox. The game is played from either a first- or third-person perspective, as players assume command of an US Army armed reconnaissance helicopter. Along with single-player and standard multiplayer modes, the game will also include online features. However, specific details regarding the game's network mode were not released.

"Taking advantage of the amazing technology offered by the Xbox, the game will include the most incredible graphics ever seen in a helicopter shooter, including dense foliage and realistic rotor-wash effects on the ground and over water," said Wally Wachi, the game's producer at Novalogic.

Comanche will be the first title developed by Novalogic for the Xbox. It will be released in late 2002.
