Nintendo shows GameCube portable monitor

The first officially licensed mobile monitor for the GameCube was shown at E3 last week.

At E3 last week, Nintendo had its version of a GameCube mobile monitor on display. The monitor has two adjustment points to provide an optimal viewing angle and snaps to the back of the console. Based upon the model being shown in Nintendo's booth, there are no adjustments for the brightness, and there are no speakers built into it. A brightness adjustment knob is likely something that will be added before the peripheral's release, but the monitor used separate speakers, which sounded quite good. The monitor's display qualities are impressive. The image is crisp and clear, the colors are vivid, and no fragmentation or image blurring can be seen. Based upon the model on display, there will be no inputs to use the monitor with other platforms.

Nintendo's official mobile monitor for the GameCube is shaping up to be one of the best available for any platform. We'll have more on the peripheral when Nintendo releases more information.
