Marvel and Stern are coming together like Eddie Brock and the symbiote.

San Diego Comic-Con will feature plenty of news on famous superheroes and supervillains, with the majority of that news coming via movies, video games, and of course comics. Stern Pinball is getting in on the action as well, with the company announcing a new set of Venom-themed pinball machines made in collaboration with Marvel.

Players will assume the role of Venom during a game, which begins with them "bonding" with another character from the Marvel universe. The game will change depending on which character is chosen, with selectable heroes and villains including Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, and more.

The machine features symbiote containment vessels on both sides of the play field, which will release multiple balls throughout the game. Meanwhile, a Carnage statue features at the bottom of a ramp on the left side, and making contact with the villain will send him back to the Ravencroft Institute For The Criminally Insane perched at the top of the ramp.

The machine is decorated with a collection of Venom artwork drawn by famous artist Jeremy "Zombie Yeti" Packer, while the soundtrack includes over a dozen songs from Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti. The music heard during a game will change depending on the host chosen at the start.

The Venom pinball game will be available in three separate models, each with their own price point and features, and it will be present during San Diego Comic-Con both at the Stern Pinball booth and the Stern Pop-Up Arcade at the Marriott Marquis. The prices for each model are below:

  • Pro Edition: $6,999
  • Premium Edition: $9,699
  • Limited Edition: $12,999
