New Trailer: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children Features Monsters and Magic

"It's time for you to learn what you can do."

With Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Tim Burton turned two much-loved children's books into massive box office hits. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children sees the director turn his attention to a more recent best-seller, with very, er, Tim Burton-esque results. A new trailer has been released, and you can check it out below:

The film is based on the first of Ransom Riggs' series of acclaimed Young Adult fantasy novels, which was published in 2011. It stars Eva Green, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris O'Dowd, Allison Janney, and Terence Stamp, and hits theaters on September 30.

In related news, Burton recently offered an update on the much-rumoured sequel to his 1988 hit Beetlejuice. Despite comments last year from star Winona Ryder that the movie was likely to happen, the filmmaker is less certain.

"It's something that I really would like to do in the right circumstances, but it's one of those films where it has to be right," he told Collider. "It's not a kind of a movie that cries out [for a sequel], it's not the Beetlejuice trilogy.

"So it's something that if the elements are right--because I do love the character and Michael's amazing as that character, so yeah we'll see. But there's nothing concrete yet."
