New media: Herdy Gerdy

Eidos Interactive has released a handful of new screenshots from Herdy Gerdy for the Sony PlayStation 2. Some of the screens show an entirely new nighttime stage, which looks like a 19th century gated European city. The game's visuals, although rendered in full 3D, resemble a hand-drawn cartoon. The game engine's use of dramatic lighting and warm colors gives the game a fairy-tale look. The gameplay system combines elements of exploration, interaction, and puzzle solving. Essentially, as Gerdy, players must herd a variety of fictional animals to win the yearly herding competition.

Herdy Gerdy will be released in November for the PlayStation 2.
