New EVE screens

CCP updates the official EVE site with new shots.

Iceland-based developer CCP has updated the official EVE Web site with new screenshots depicting the numerous types of ships that are in the game. EVE: The Second Genesis is a massively multiplayer game that will combine elements of both strategy games and role-playing games within a persistent universe. Players will start the game equipped with a basic ship that they can use to trade with other players, mine asteroids, or perform research in uncharted areas of space--anything to make money, which is the goal of the game. Performing these activities not only earns players more money to upgrade their ship with, but it also teaches their characters valuable skills that they can use later in the game. Whether or not characters remain law-abiding pilots or decide to turn into space pirates who loot cargo ships is completely up to the player.

For more information, take a look at our previous articles about the game. EVE: The Second Genesis is scheduled for release in early 2002.
