Dave Chappelle, one of the most famous comedians on Earth, is bringing another comedy special to Netflix. The Closer, as it's called, is a standup special that will be released on October 5.

A teaser video shows off some of what to expect, and it includes Chappelle alluding to some edgy humor. "Sometimes, the funniest thing to say is mean," he says in the clip. "Remember, I'm not saying it to be mean, I'm saying it because it's funny."

This will be Chappelle's sixth standup special for Netflix, following The Age of Spin, Deep in the Heart of Texas, Equanimity, The Bird Revelation, and Sticks & Stones. Stan Lathan, who directed Chapelle's earlier specials, returns for The Closer, according to Deadline.

Chappelle was reportedly paid $60 million to bring his new comedy specials to Netflix, which is hoping that Chappelle's stardom will help bring in new subscribers.

Chappelle starred on the sketch comedy program Chappelle's Show from 2003-2006, before quitting the show and moving to South Africa to step out of the public eye.

Earlier this year, Netflix pulled Chappelle's Show from the network at Chappelle's own request because he was being denied a share of the profits. Netflix eventually worked things out and paid Chappelle millions of dollars, bringing back Chapelle's Show in the process.
