Sony and developer From Software today released a batch of new screenshots for upcoming PlayStation 4 role-playing game, Bloodborne. The images highlight new stages, enemies, and weapons from the game, which launches exclusively on PS4 in March 2015.

The image at left shows off a new character named Gyula, described as an "old veteran hunter who is said to posses amazing skill." No one has seen him in many years, and he looks like he's been on his own for some time. You'll encounter Gyula during Bloodborne, producer Masaaki Yamagiwa says.

Also on display (see the full gallery below) is the Cainhurst castle, which is shrouded in mystery. "What happened to the family that ruled this castle for many generations? What secrets, and what dangers, await you there?" Yamagiwa teases.

From Software also highlights a new Bloodborne weapon, the transforming cane. In its standard form, the cane is well-suited for for short range, melee attacks. However, it can also transform into a whip, which is deadly at greater distances, Yamagiwa says.

Finally, the image you see at the top of this post is from deep under the city of Yharnam, where there is a network of multi-leveled ruins that appear to be "crafted by something other than human hands."

From Software and Sony will talk more about Bloodborne during next month's PlayStation Experience community event in Las Vegas. GameSpot will be at the show, bringing you news as it happens. From Software previously teased that it had "exciting" news to share about the game in early December.
