Netflix has released a new trailer for its upcoming animated adventure series, Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. Set during the events of Jurassic World, according to the official synopsis, the series follows "six teens invited to attend a state-of-the-art adventure camp in Isla Nublar [who] must band together to survive when the dinosaurs break out of captivity." As the series progresses, the campers will go from total strangers to a family-like tribe that must depend on each other for everyone's survival. Check out the trailer below.

Developed by Zack Stentz (The Flash, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), the series cast includes Paul-Mikél Williams (Westworld) as Darius Bowman, Jenna Ortega (Iron Man 3) as Brokklynn, and Ryan Potter (Big Hero 6) as Kenji Kon. According to Amblin Entertainment--Steven Spielberg's production company--Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras will serve as showrunners and executive producers. Spielberg will also executive produce. Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous is due to premiere on Netflix September 18.

Meanwhile, production on Jurassic World: Dominion, the latest entry in the long-running dinosaur series, was underway this year and then suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but is set to resume soon ahead of its 2021 release. So far, we know that the movie will use more practical effects than previous films and that returning actor Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant) has called it the "best yet."
