Netflix recently announced that it would be doing a sequel to the acclaimed true crime documentary series Tiger King. Now, during the streaming service's Tudum event, we know Tiger King 2 will be released on November 17.

Tiger King 2 is part of Netflix's upcoming slate of new true crime shows and movies. Netflix recently promoted itself as "the home of true crime" and promised "more madness and mayhem" in Tiger King 2 with a trailer revealing that Tiger King 2 will pick up after the events of the first season. In the recent clip, we see incarcerated former zoo keeper Joe Exotic on the phone from jail, his rival Carole Baskin striding down a corridor, and a billboard advertising a $1 million reward for solving the disappearance of Baskin's husband Don Lewis. Check out Netflix's newer Tudum clip for Tiger King 2 below.

Tiger King was released in March 2020, and, according to Netflix, was watched by 64 million households in the first four weeks on the service. There's also a live-action version of the story in the works at Peacock, which will star Kate McKinnon as Carole Baskin and John Cameron Mitchell as Joe Exotic. Sadly, however, the rival version that was set to star Nicolas Cage as Exotic is no longer happening. It was also recently announced that Joe Exotic, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, may be getting out of prison sooner than expected. A federal appeals court recently agreed to vacate his sentence on a technicality and re-sentence him. Tiger King 2 hits Netflix on November 17.
