Netflix Sends Hilary Swank To Mars In Away Teaser Trailer

For ages mankind has wondered, how can we put Hilary Swank on Mars? Well, executive producer Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights) and first-time show creator Andrew Hinderaker have an upcoming Netflix series about just that. And now there's a teaser trailer up, showing us Swank on her way to Mars feeling sad that she can't be with her family.

In Away, Swank portrays Emma Green, an American astronaut leading an international crew on Earth's first mission to Mars. The first teaser shows off the lonely, isolated mood of the show, which Netflix describes as, "a thrilling, emotional drama on an epic scale that celebrates the incredible advancements humans can achieve and the personal sacrifices they must make along the way."

"She must reconcile her decision to leave behind her husband (Josh Charles) and teenage daughter (Talitha Bateman) when they need her the most," the press release continues. But what could be more important than Mars and having Hilary Swank on it? Away is set to premiere Friday, September 4, on Netflix.
