As part of Netflix Geeked Week, the streaming service has released a new teaser trailer for Season 2 of The Cuphead Show based on the popular indie video game of the same name. Season 1 released mere months ago earlier this year with 12 mini-episodes, and was quickly greenlit for more--those will arrive in August.

GameSpot's review of The Cuphead Show rated the show a 9/10 back in February. "The Cuphead Show pays homage to both classic cartoons and the beloved 2017 game. The short and sweet episodes are loaded with laughs and heartwarming moments," reviewer Steven Petite said. "The animation is superb, and the voice actors bring rich personalities to characters who were previously voiceless. The show stands on its own while also being filled with fun nods to the game--without ever feeling like unnecessary fan service." Check out what's in store for Season 2 below.

Announced originally back in 2019, this animated series is aimed more at children, and Studio MDHR also packs in humor and gags for adult audiences. Breaking with the game's highly detailed and stylized animation, the show instead favors hand-drawn characters and movement.

Tru Valentino voices Cuphead and Frank Todaro voices Mugman, with Wayne Brady voicing King Dice and Luke Millington-Drake reprising his role as the Devil himself. The series adaptation was developed by Dave Wasson (Space Jam).
