NBA 2K24 File Size Revealed, And It's Even Bigger Than Starfield - Report

Allegedly, NBA 2K24 has a mammoth install size, even larger than the galaxy-spanning Starfield. According to a report from Insider Gaming, NBA 2K24 has an install size of 161GB on Xbox Series X|S at launch.

For NBA 2K, the increasing install size is perhaps to be expected. Last year's game clocked in at 152GB. That is also larger than Starfield, which takes up 126GB on Xbox and 140GB on PC. NBA 2K24's install size is significantly larger than other sports games in its weight class. Madden 24, for example, is 51GB, while MLB 23 lands at 83GB.

As for the game's other features , NBA 2K24's shooting and dribbling have been made "more accessible and intuitive." Adrenaline boosts have also been redesigned. The Smart Play feature will return on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. In the Mamba Moments campaign mode, you'll play through several career-defining moments in Kobe Bryant's illustrious run, such as when he scored 12 three-pointers versus the Sonics in 2003 or the 2010 NBA finals versus the Celtics.

NBA 2K24 launches on September 8 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Check out GameSpot's preorder guide if you want to pick it up before launch.
