Namco shared some game release information with videogames.com, namely that the final version of its RPG Tales of Destiny is scheduled to ship the last week in September and that Pac-Man 3D has been pushed back to February.

Also of note, the company plans to rerelease Tekken 2 as a PlayStation "Greatest Hits" game on August 11. The Greatest Hit games are PlayStation titles reintroduced at a tasty price point. Tekken 2, for example, will be available for US$19.95. In October, the company plans to rerelease Soul Blade for the PlayStation as a Greatest Hit, also at the $19.95 price.

Videogames.com also knows of some upcoming Namco (Japan) release dates; however, Namco does not know when these titles will venture to the US, if at all. So far, we know that Smash Court 2 and the RPG Tales of Phantasia should be out in December - and an unnamed racing game will come out at the same time (all for the PlayStation).

In addition to those titles, Namco mentioned a few more PlayStation games including a 3D shooting title, a Kosodate Quiz game, an action RPG, and a shooting title utilizing the Guncon - none of which have release dates at this point. And of course, there is the tentatively named Ace Combat 3, a 3D dogfight flight game and sequel heading to the PlayStation as well.

On an unfortunate note, Namco said it has no plans to bring GunBarl (Point Blank 2) to the US at this time. See yesterday's news story for info and shots of that. As soon as any of these titles receive names and rites of passage to the US, we'll let you know.
