A new character is now available in WWE Immortals. Instead of a real-world fighter like those added in previous updates, the newest character is Johnny Cage from Netherealm's Mortal Kombat X. Watch the funny overview video below to see Johnny Cage beat up John Cena and make fun of him at the same time.

You can add Cage to your roster immediately by purchasing the Johnny Cage Early Access pack (pricing was not announced), or you can unlock him by completing a series of fights. Johnny Cage is the final boss. He's only unlockable through October 29, so you'll need to act quickly to add him to your lineup.

The free-to-play WWE Immortals was released in January 2015. It is developed by Mortal Kombat studio NetherRealm in association with Phosphor Game Studios.

Since launch, new characters have been added every month, with the roster currently standing at 50+ characters, including Cena, Brock Lesnar, and The Rock, among others. The update that introduces Johnny Cage also adds additional microtransactions in the form of booster packs.

Mortal Kombat X, meanwhile, has sold more than 5 million copies, according to a recent report. In other recent news about the game, NetherRealm has announced a second wave of DLC for it.
