Mike Piazza: Up Close and Personal

We've got more shots of Mike Piazza's Strike Zone for the N64.

Comments

GT Interactive has released a batch of new shots for its upcoming N64 baseball title, Mike Piazza's Strike Zone. As reported earlier, the game developed by Devil's Thumb Entertainment is a two-player sim or arcade-style baseball game that features fully 3D environments, players, and stadiums.

For features, GT secured an MLB license, so the game features real stadiums, uniforms, and teams (including the two new expansion teams).

There's both simulation and arcade-style gameplay. The player can create his own player; run fantasy teams and leagues (with his own custom logos); make real league player transactions, trades, and drafts; and play exhibition, full season, all-star, World Series, and Home Run Derby modes.

In addition, the player can select from three difficulty levels - rookie, pro, and all-star. Customized players and season games can all be saved to the N64's Memory Pack. The game is also Rumble Pak-compatible.

The game will be out later this spring. For now, check out some screenshots of the game. And for even more, follow the related links to our last story on the title.
