if the game was published by Nintendo for the console, did Microsoft get the publishing rights when they bought RARE, and destroyed the company?

Killer Instinct? That really is a name I haven't heard in a long time. I would be glad if it returns in HD, for that would mean good games are good because they are enjoyable and not because they just look good and feel horrible.

This trademark better be useful Microsoft, we need a Killer instinct 3.

KI 1 maybe for $9.99 would be cool. KI 3 would be a full game release at retail for $60.

I can give 2 craps if its just a port. Long as its HD and online. The game is amazing! Most my xbl friends talk about this game all the time. I remember every combo, jago, fulgore and orchid combos and ultra. And although I can give 2 craps if its a port, I would love if they take the route Mortal Kombat took with MK9.

I'm interested to see how this will work out. I'm missing innovation in the fighter genre. I haven't played that much titles, so that might just be me.

Come to think of it, there was NEVER a successful port of this game. Sure, SNES gave us a version, but it was SHIT. ALL arcade ports were shit back then, thank goodness for this. I sincerely hope this is an Arcade perfect original. Please! Or, at least, include the original with whatever Micro$oft puts out for milking purposes.. At least do that!

I sure hope they may take the time to reinvent this series perhaps on the same spectrum as MK was recently reinvented. Classic gameplay with updated graphics and online, along with some subtle new features. I just loved KI to death and would be all over this for sure. :)

Since I was too young at the time to fully grasp the game mechanics at the time, I never got into the series but I'm excited to see KI again. I hope they come out with a new game but bring back some of the old characters like the ninja and the wolf.

I liked the 1st Killer Instinct. So if they made a HD port of it i'd get it. But i would like to c another brand new Killer Instinct game.

A HD Port of the original arcade game would be wizard, and a really good reason for me to grab a Wii U, if they make an arcade stick for it though, no interest in playing that game with a game pad. I remember the blisters from playing the SNES version for days at a time. TJ COMBO!

Sony fanboys on MS because Killer is their exclusive. If Rare was still the Rare from Snes days they would've presented MS with a valid project for Killer and I'm pretty sure MS would give it a go.
