TOKYO--Microsoft Japan today said it would hold a press event in Tokyo on April 6. The goal of the event is to announce a new business strategy for the Xbox 360 in Japan.

The new Xbox division chief in Nippon, Takashi Sensui, will lead the 90-minute press conference and is scheduled to show off games for the Xbox 360, although whether those games will be new, unannounced titles or simply the most recent builds of known games is unclear.

This will be the first public appearance for Sensui, who replaced Yoshihiro Maruyama earlier this year. Maruyama was reassigned to "a strategic position within Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices Division" after lackluster launch sales of the 360 in Japan.
