Konami has released a new patch for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The update fixes a number of issues, including a bug involving the use of Quiet as a buddy which could corrupt save files. Prior to the patch, the bug had the potential to trigger if Quiet was selected as a buddy character for Mission 29 or Mission 42.

In addition, Konami has rolled out a buff which increases daily login bonuses which will run for the duration of the upcoming annual Tokyo Game Show event. The daily login bonuses will change every day, updating at 1PM PST/10AM CEST/5PM JST.

Tokyo Game Show will kick off from September 17 and run until September 20. GameSpot will have a team in attendance at the event, so stay tuned to the site for news from the show floor as it breaks.

We've received both the patch download and daily login bonus notice on the PlayStation 4 version of the game. Let us know if you've received these notifications on any other platforms in the comments below!
