Metal Gear Rising confirmed for PC

Hideo Kojima reveals Revengeance coming to the PC, though release date, features are unknown.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is coming to the PC, series creator Hideo Kojima announced during a recent podcast (via Joystiq).

News of the port was later confirmed by Platinum Games creative producer Jean Pierre Kellams over Twitter.

No further information about the PC version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was divulged and a Konami representative was not immediately available to comment.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance launched for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in February. Developer Platinum Games previously stated that it is interested in making games for the PC and publishing them through Valve's Steam downloadable games service.

@telaros I'd beg to differ and say they did this to get all the console sales they could before releasing it on a platform full of pirates. Smart in my opinion. It's not like people even held out for a PC release because it hasn't been talked about until now.

@jinzo9988 @telaros Actually, they had talked about a PC release many times before. Also, great job stereotyping PC Gamers, many console gamers pirate console games too you know. I'd bet that people have already pirated this game on PS3 and/or 360.

@jinzo9988 @Link3301 @telaros I've seen console games get pirated weeks before the PC version even when they have the same release date. Do you want to know where most of the leaks before release are? On the consoles. Namely the 360.

If you think that people on the consoles who can get it before the release date and for free aren't going to do it, then you're just as much out of your damn mind.

@Simplythebest12 It will look better, but I'd hate to play it on mouse and keyboard. Games like this often fare better with a controller, so that is what I shall use. Will be the first game in a long while I'll have purchased twice :D

About time, Kojima promised Metal Gear Solid:Rising for all 3 platforms, but Platinum only now decided to make it for PC, i pray they aint doing a sloppy job with the port.

@ESB This is definitely a decision from Konami, Platinum already stated a few times that they don't make PC games because they lack the skills to do so and for some reason also refuse to outsource instead.

@ESB I think this was decision by Konami, not platinum. Konami doesn't have control over any of Platinum's other games.

As a pc gamer, I never really cared about that franchise. From what I've seen its just a hack n slash with cyborg. Still good for people who like the genre but it is not my cup of tea.
