Metal Gear going Online

I'm glad I have a PS3, but I never played online when Subsistence came out. Might be fun though. MGS4 single player is enough for me. I like how all the negative comments about this announcement are riddled with bad grammar. I swear, I don't know if it's PS fanboys making retarded posts to make 360 fanboys look dumb or if it's really 360 fanboys who aren't smart enough to write a proper sentence.

I'll never likes this games....i'll played metal gear solid 3 once at my friend house...but I'll passed to play the games because it's not interesting...so..it's doesn't change anything if it still ps3 exclusive...but for ps3 fans...don't be moron if u think this game made you proud of urself..because this game is not truely release yet....

Don't give me wrong all mgs fans franchise, i'm not into online games is not my type of gamer style...i only prefer solo mission :P

no offense to anyone, but the MGS franchise became so overrated during its PS2 era. It was smokin hot back in its PS1 days. Their are FAR better games for the PS3 compared to MGS. It's just that people are stupid and would rather stick to a franchise that has beaten a dead horse several times. Have you seen the Warhawk trailer? Truly, that game is worth it alone for the purchase of a ps3. don't rely on a franchise that is dying out.

"METAL GEAR ONLINE will also feature playable characters and environments from Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and is slated as a PS3 EXCLUSIVE." So there is going to be an Xbox 360 version for the game but the online is exclusive to PS3. Well still getting it for PS3.

Wow, i love all of the comments that refer to the 360 have like -10 points, while all those having a positive note have +10....sure shows who the fanboys are (thank you for the thumbs down you just clicked btw) But IMO, this will go to the 360 at some point where the online community will be hundreds of times larger than PS3 online community, who cares if it isnt free...atleast its reliable

I have no worries about the game. Everyone has been a masterpiece. We will however be really patient like always. Time to break out Snake Eater again huh.

SMK39 is right a lot of games originated on MSX (for tose who dont know what it is, just think of a Commodore 64 wit Japanese games) it was the sytem where franchises like MGS, Bomberman, Castlevania (it had a different name, Vampire Slayer or something like that), Gradius, Final Fantasy and Contra.

I like how all the sony fans put all faith in one game! Anyway I didn't like MGS 3 S online mode. Killzone 2 needs to come out. I think the only company sony has to its self is Konami and itself!

This would be better on the PS3 because online is FREE. Another nice ps3 exclusive.

Static metal gear was born on the nes. the current versions are more towards the playstation. i guess if a franchise is gonna die this is not one of the things that should happen.

STOP WHORING THE METAL GEAR FRANCHISE TO THE PLAYSTATION! I was really hoping for a DS Metal Gear or a Wiimake of some of the Metal Gear games.

It'll be interesting to see how this stealth game works for online play, and I hope the online play is fun in its own right and not just a gimmicky feature.

Nah, they probably went online separately because they couldn't handle online capabilities on MGS4, considering how much work they put into it. Hide-and-seek? Screw that. You guys are all gonna get a taste of my Nikita.

Sounds like a good idea, but a better idea would have been to include multiplayer in MGS4

It's about damn time Kojima. This should have been used in Snake Eater, the potential for a 'hide and seek' type game would have been awesome. Now I seriously cannot wait for this game to come out. Each MGS has always has something new to offer. I say bring on the stealth neck snaps :D

I can't wait to see how MGS will be represented in PS Home. I can imagine Konami will have their own Home-Space, where they'll have an MGS room or something, maybe there will be staues of all the different versions of Solid Snake strewn around the place or some streaming videos on the walls of some classic MGS battle scenes... ah, the possibilities!
