Take-Two Interactive has announced that it has shipped Max Payne to retailers across the country. Max Payne is a third-person shooter in which players take on the role of an undercover narcotics officer as he tries to confront the local mob and prevent them from pushing a new drug onto the streets. The game features a bullet-time effect, where the onscreen action slows down, letting players take out multiple enemy targets in a short span of time.

Max Payne is scheduled to show up on store shelves this week. For more information on the game, take a look at our previous coverage .
