Marvel Cinematic Universe Stars Unite For First Time To Take Epic Class Photo

"Every person has been in one or all of my favorite films."

It's been nearly 10 years since Iron Man shot onto the big screen on May 2, 2008. Since then, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has grown to include 18 films--including the upcoming Black Panther--and a long list of superheroes whose only goal is to keep the world safe.

In celebration of those ten years, Marvel Studios gathered its roster of stars and filmmakers for a class photo. "It felt like being at the Academy Awards or something," Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Ragnarok) says in a behind-the-scenes video. "Every person has been in one or all of my favorite films."

While the photo is loaded with familiar faces, it's hard not to notice those that aren't there. Natalie Portman, Kat Dennings, and Stellan Skarsgard--all of whom starred in the first two Thor films, with Skarsgard also appearing in Avengers--are nowhere to be seen.

Still, it's an impressive gathering of stars from the MCU's past, present, and future. Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, and Linda Cardellini--all of whom haven't been seen since 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron-- appear in the photo, and Brie Larson (2019's Captain Marvel) is there as well.

Clearly, the Marvel Cinematic Universe at 10 years old is massive and only growing more by the day. With no sign of slowing down, they are going to need room for a lot more people by the time they need to take the 20th anniversary photo.

The MCU next storms into theaters with Black Panther on February 16. After that, Avengers: Infinity War--which will unite most of the universe's superheroes against a singular threat in Thanos (Josh Brolin) premieres on May 4. Click here to see the enlarged class photo.
