Mario + Rabbids Spark Of Hope DLC Releases Today

The second DLC for Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope releases today, June 21, for the Nintendo Switch. Titled The Last Spark Hunter, the DLC's release date was announced during today's Nintendo Direct livestream.

The Last Spark Hunter sees Mario and his Rabbid companions exploring a new in-game environment called Melodic Gardens, investigating the origin of a mysterious threat currently threatening the currently silent, music-free Melodic Gardens and its inhabitants. Players can befriend said inhabitants and also explore both the jungle and the curious ruins scattered around the environment.

Players can even take their very own boat for a spin--though this path should be taken cautiously--new enemies can be found when players set sail. When it comes to groundside exploration, Golems and Fieldbreakers abound, adding some challenging foes mechanics for players to face in battle. To save the Melodic Gardens, players must eventually face Kanya, the Last Spark Hunter. Kanya is and extremely dangerous, incredibly tech-savvy villain, and is hell-bent on destroying the environment. Players who take her on must be well-prepared, as Kanya wields a unique new weapon she created herself: the Mecha King Bob-Omb.

The new DLC launches later today according to the trailer, but no precise time was stated. Players who have already purchased the Gold Edition of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will gain access to the DLC for free. Players who don't have the Gold Edition can access the DLC by purchasing the Mario + Rabbids Season Pass for $29.99.
