One thing I like about threads like these is to read about the musical tastes of people. Some of you have varying degrees of standards in your rock 'n roll.

Yellowcard is always in the list in most of EA games... that's no surprise

jeulz_santana wow the only decent rap song is by flippin swiss beatz this soundtrack suks wheres ti, ludacris, weezy baby, jay z, rick ross they all had big albums and yet not one song ea said in an interview that they like to have newer artists, and they don't wnat to put hit songs on the radio in the game. you see, theyre tryin to help artists who haven't made it yet. so don't expect big names ever on a madden game unless you do it urself.

Terrible, just terrible. The remixed NFL Films themes from 2006 were easily superior to this 'music.'

I'm sorry but if it's on all of these new game systems...why don't they just let US play our own music....Besides, this list looks like it's full of CRAP anyway. Wait why am I saying anything, I don't even like football anyway!?! :P I'd still wish they'd put more money into the NFL aspect of it since they OWN it. For some people, they like a similar experience every year. I wouldn't want the same thing over and over again. Besides, football would be a lot cooler if you could throw grenades and make crators in the playing field. Tackle the audience members...every one of them. And throw the ball so fast (like in a special or something) that you put holes in people when it FLIES THROUGH THEM! I'd play that game!!!! XD!!!!!

The game should be about football, and making it better and better. Who cares about the music? Most of us turn it off - how about using the cash you wasted on the music to hire the people who made the 2k series so great? Madden has always been hallowed as the best football game there is, but to tell the truth it has been in a lull. EA released a separate football manager game last year - instead of including it as part of the Madden game - a sure miss - that game sucked, but as an added feature to an ageing decrepit franchise, it might be a nice feature - of and the whole all pro football approach to the game - HELLO, why didn't EA think of this first? Oh how about this - here is some advise for you, a suggestion if you will, why not make the hands down be all end all game - include everything, and everyone who has ever played the game, and each year just make a "downloadable roster / tweak update" - do this every other year, sell it for like 20-25 bucks, save some development cost, still make all the profit and more, and take your time to churn out a "new" version of the game every other year. This way you still horde all the cash, and we don't feel like you are robbing us. Are the same people behind the PS3 running EA? ARGH! Don

I love most of the music in the madden games actually. It introduces me to a whole bunch more bands.

I don't see the point of wasting development dollars on licensed music. After around 5-10 hours of gameplay, most people just disable all the music. The Fight Night Round 3 soundtrack drove me crazy, especially that stupid ring intro song. Although I do think it's a good avenue for bands to get heard. Franchises like Burnout actually got me buying songs off iTunes.

Holy SH*T! Timbaland, Yellowcard, MIMS, and Ozzy all on one soundtrack. This better be one hell of a football game though

Sweet, Brother Ali's on this, he ain't crap, he's actually an amazing artist. But other than him and Murs... I don't know.

Madden should just have custom made instamental music in the menues, like the good ol Genesis ones. Football does not need crappy music!

Exactly littletotheleft your playing a sports game. I never knew music was such a selling point for a game. You know what I could do I could put it on mute and listen to the radio if I dont have a 360. And most of this is crap so I think that may have turned some people away. Luckily I never really played Madden.

I don't know much of it, but other games have had songs I never heard of and ended up loving. Like Rise Against "Give it All" in Need for Speed. Or Snoops remix of Riders on the storm.

No-one can compare compare to the Burnout Revenge soundtrack. That is, without a question, the best soundtrack there is. 2nd best Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, but waaaaay too many covers.

This list is actually way better than other years, i mean, Enter Shikari, The Used, QOFSA, From autumn to Ashes, Atreyu, Yellowcard, thats a pretty good amount of stuff that many people need to be exposed to, they are all awesome.

Apart from Queens Of The Stone Age and Ozzy Osbourne that list looks pretty crap. Oh well

they only released this list now to suck away some of the buzz about all pro 2k8. who cares about the music? never knew it was a big deal to anyone. on most sports games i just turn off the music and either play it with only the in game sound effects or custom soundtrack...thank you 360. plus, this only shows how bad popular music has gotten. justin timberlake?? really?? on a football game?? isnt that crap for love making?

Hmm Hellyeah is alright, and Ozzy is great, other than that this list blows. The list could be fixed if they added more metal, metal heals all wounds.

This soundtrack fails. Big time.

Now even the 360 users have to feel a little sorry for the PS3 users. Not trying to start a console war in a Madden news report, but because everyone is (understandably) complaining about this soundtrack, it shows why the 360's custom in-game soundtrack was a VERY useful tool, especially in this type of EAmergency.
